As a non profit organisation it is the aim to promote Flemish mill heritage. We aim to raise awareness of our mill culture abroad, without neglecting the home front. Issue and distribute newsletters and publications.

Our mill heritage consists of traditional wind-, water-, and horse mills, and small-scale mills with industrial-archaeological and/or cultural value. In fact promote all other heritage based on milling techniques, and show it to a wider audience abroad and domestically.

We promote every inventory in question primarily in English and Dutch, and by extension in various other languages.

We organize ourselves, or in association with other organisations mill visits, seminars, study days, exhibitions, events, study tours of mills, etc..

We are free to cooperate with other associations, provided, however, that we can continue to fulfill our objectives wholly and independently.
